- Keep burning candles out of the reach of children or pets.
- Do not move a candle while it is burning or if the wax is still hot and liquid.
- Burn candles on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Place candles at least three inches apart so they don't melt one another.
Usage Tips:
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch and center it before lighting candle.
- The recommended burning time for a candle is, one hour per inch of diameter.
- Keep candles away from drafts. Drafts will cause the candle to burn unevenly.
- Hold your finger in front of the flame as you blow the candle out. The air will flow around your finger and extinguish the candle from both sides. This prevents any hot wax from splattering.
- If a wick becomes too short to light, carve away enough wax to expose the fresh wick.
- If you refrigerating your candles before using them it will help them to burn slowly and evenly. Make sure that you wrap them in foil or plastic first to prevent moisture from getting into the wick.
- Keep the wax pool free of foreign objects such as wick trimmings and matches.
Cleaning Tips:
- To remove wax from fabrics, scrape off the excess wax and run very hot water through the material.
- To remove wax from carpet or fabric, place newspaper over wax and iron with a cool to warm iron, moving paper to absorb the wax.
Candles are a safe when used properly. Burn them responsibly, and your candles will bring you hours of serenity and pleasure.
